How to Calculate JEE Mains Percentile Scores?

Scores based on the relative performance of everyone who takes the exam are called percentile scores. For each session of examinees, the scores are converted to a scale from 100 to 0. It shows the proportion of candidates who performed at that percentile or below in the exam (based on the same or lower raw scores). As a result, each session’s top score will receive the same Percentile of 100, which is desirable.

A candidate’s percentile score is determined using the formula below:
100 X The total number of candidates that participated in the “Session” and had raw scores that were equal to or lower than the candidate.

Note: The percentile of the total must NOT be an average or sum of the percentiles for each topic. The proportion of marks earned and the percentile score are not the same.
